The women leading a mangrove revival

Blue carbon, livelihoods, and leadership growing together along the shore.
The mangroves along this estuary were thinning fast. The women who depend on them decided that was not acceptable.
Today they run the replanting, the monitoring, and a small enterprise built around the restored forest. The mangroves store carbon, shelter young fish, and shield the village from storms.
Conservation that pays is conservation that lasts. This is what that looks like.
